Good day everyone.
Antares has released another announcement today on the second phase of drilling at Surprise. It is very exciting, and I thought I would share my views on what this intersection means.
Surprise itself is a high-grade, structurally controlled copper target, and it runs along a line of lode. But this intersection of hole 15 is something very different. It targeted a large chargeability anomaly a few hundred metres off to the east of the Surprise line of lode and has very, very different characteristics.
Hole15 intersected some disseminated sulphide mineralisation, including chalcopyrite, with readings on the pXRF ranging up to half a percent copper in areas. We were interested in everything above a thousand ppm.
So, what does this intersection mean for us? Now, again, it is a brand new, untested target, and we tested an area of high chargeability but also high conductivity, and not through the highest grade of the chargeability. So, there is a large potential target for us, and we need to test this with additional drilling in a follow-up phase, which we will. It takes Surprise from being a singular target to one with two at least, plus some more potential north to the Startle prospect.
We are very keen to get stuck into this additional target, and we’ll keep you posted as we move along with it.
In addition, I’d also just like to mention the Conglomerate Creek Project that we have to the west. It is a large intrusion-related target based on some geophysics and high-density targets. We are keen to get the drill rig spinning there, and we’ve got geologists in the field as we speak, and we’ll keep you posted as we go.
